The Pocketful of Happiness is a small book aimed at a young audience taking the first steps into journalling. I designed the playful background patterns in a loose hand-drawn style to convey the simple, approachable nature of the journal, and to remind us all that we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously sometimes!
Fun fact: the typeface on the yellow background spread is Chonky, which I designed!
‘My mind & me’ is a journal dedicated to discovering ourselves through self-reflection, self-care and self-love.
I designed the book from concept to end, working with a copywriter and developing a library of patterns, hand painted elements and lettering treatments that are used throughout the book.
The running journal below is a practical tool for people to track their fitness progress, note down training schedules and reflect on their achievements.
The design is playful and full of colour, with patterns that evoke speed and motion through the use of simple geometric shapes.
