Tasty Waste
Tasty Waste is a brand with a clear mission: to raise awareness of food waste, providing free resources and recipes to help people to be smarter in the kitchen and reduce their impact.
The project kicked off with the design of a series of A6 cards which contain information on different vegetables and include a recipe that uses the least ‘desirable’ parts of the veg.
The cards are risograph printed with sustainable soy-based inks on recycled paper. Choosing to work with risograph meant having restrictions on which colours to use in each design, and how many.
This also guided the definition of the colour palette for the brand identity.
The following are some concepts for the brand expansion, such as promotional stickers and informative ones, which feature a QR code that will link to the relevant webpage or post.
A mobile app can be developed to include all recipe cards, information and content that is currently being posted on Instagram.
